Built in Bathtubs
Built in bathtubs are installed into a surrounding platform wall. The surrounding walls are usually finished with tiles. Built in bathtubs are most commonly made of enamel steel and acrylic. Both has its advantages. Acrylic bathtubs has many design variations, and can be molded easily into many shapes. However, they are not very resistant to scratches and the acrylic gets duller over time. However, they are easily repaired by sanding and can be restored to its original luster by polishing.
Enameled steel bathtubs are easy to clean, durable, and very tough. Even after years of usage, they look pretty much like new. However, upon heavy impact, the enameling cannot be repaired.
